Belleville is SI. Second pair is issued roughly 2-3 weeks inDoes anyone know what brand of boots are standard issue at USAFA?Recommendations for BCT boots? I’m looking at the danners rivot tfx, is it worth the price?
I ordered Nikes, assuming I could switch to the SI boots if needed. Now that I've read a lot of forums I'm starting to think they may not be the best. How well do you think they'll fare during BCT? I watched a video of a guy who used them during ranger school, so I assumed they would be fine for BCT.My DS likes his Danner Rivots - he used them throughout BCT and now wears them during squadron training exercises. He switches to Nike SFBs "casual" use, but indicates that the Danners provide much better support (as well as being much more waterproof) and is glad that he had them for BCT.
Whatever you choose, make sure they fit well and you break them in before I-Day.
Nikes are awesome. You can wear the Bellevilles for courses and such if you're extra worried about your Nikes not holding up.I ordered Nikes, assuming I could switch to the SI boots if needed. Thanks! I'm not too worried. Even if they are destroyed by the end, I figured the extra comfort would be worth shelling out more cash for another pair.Nikes are awesome. That's awesome! In the appointee packet, it says that the uppers of boots must be waterproof and the Nikes are not waterproof from what I've seen.. Yet, they still recommend the Nikes saying they meet all requirements, do you know why?It literally just feels like you're wearing sneakers. Especially great for running. Thanks! I'm not too worried. They are not waterproof. But they're good boots and we won't take them away. So you're fine to have them. That's awesome!
