What classifies "church group"?

On the class profile, I see that a lot of mids are part of a church group. I am curious as to what exactly they are looking for when they refer to it. I am an altar server at my church every weekend, meaning I go early to set up and leave a bit later to clean up, as well as work with the other servers to carry out duties needed during Mass such as helping the priest. I am the most senior server and have been for a few years now, meaning I am in charge of running each Mass and making sure everyone is doing everything correctly, as well as training any new servers we have. Would this count under church group and would my position as the most senior server allow me to check of any other boxes?

I'd say you meet the criteria for belonging to a church group by being an alter server. Do you feel like you are in a leadership position? I'd say yes since you are tasked with training the new servers.

A "church group" means an organized religious activity. Some candidates are heavily involved in church activities -- alter boys/girls, singing in choir, teaching Sunday school, organizing teen activities, etc. Checking that is like checking that you participate in music activities (if you do). It is not necessary to be involved in any religious activities to be a successful candidate for USNA.

Yes I am. One of the boxes is church group president. Although I don't necessarily hold the title of a "president", I do a lot of functions the sole leader would do, would I be able to check this box as well?

President implies you were selected or elected. If there is no title I'd just make sure you covered your leadership responsibilities.
