I didn't receive any nominations for USNA so should I just close my file?

I received one for USMA though.

No - there are nomination options available to USNA if they determine you would provide unique value to the incoming class. There is still hope until you receive the TWE (and on a rare occasion, even after you receive your TWE). Hang in there - good luck.

What is TWE stand for?

@rayrotc, hang in there. My DD didn’t get nomination to USAFA. Despite offers of appointment to USMA and USNA, she kept her USAFA application active. In late April, she got LOA pending nomination. Two days later, she got nomination and offer of appointment. So crazy things happen.

What about if I don't want to pursue USNA anymore? I think the Army wants me more haha (also got AROTC scholarship) I may want to close it.

While there may be "nomination options available..."theoretically, everyone should understand that the path to USNA without a nomination is extremely narrow and uphill. One has to be realistic in their expectations . Superintendent Noms are limited, only a handful a year, to someone USNA really wants. In most cases, not getting a MOC nomination means the candidate isn't in the top 10 of that Congressional District. I get it that the number 11 candidate in a very competitive district may be outstanding, but realistically is that person the one that USNA "really needs" to have ?

This isn't intended to put the OP down , and I want to reiterate that everyone is still in the game until receiving the TWE. However, this question is asked frequently and some think of the Supe Nom as the golden bullet or last chance. I think its important to manage expectations. The bottom line is that there are exceptions to (most) every rule you may read on this Forum , and in fact sometimes it seems that many of the threads on this Forum focus on the the one-off exceptions (i.e. I know someone .....) etc, but the vast majority of Candidates get their Apppointment through the 3Q/Nomination/win your slate process.

I cannot see the reason to post this thread, then.
