What do you get your MIDS for Christmas presents?

Plebes will have free time on holiday leave, spring break and over the summer, where they can wear civvies and jewelry (more for women, of course). Also, consider “experiences.” Spa treatments. Tickets to a sporting event or concert. Fishing/hunting trip. Electronics - new phone, tablet, etc.

I keep saying it - while USNA is N*t College, mids aren’t all that different from other college students other than they need less money (seriously), fewer clothes, and nothing for their dorm rooms. Other than that, they have the same interests and wants as other young adults their age.

Are Plebes permitted to bring things like fans for their rooms?
 
They know what they can and cannot have, and what they have to request a chit for. Each company is a little different in approvals. They should be able to tell you if you ask.

While each company is definitely different and specific...every plebe I know has a fan so far so I think that one is probably a good bet to be allowed. Though asking is best approach. If looking for a fan the Woozo globe fan is a current dorm room favorite and quite good power/quiet balance.

Fan blowing air over me? I can tolerate it only when the air is so humid that you can cut it with a knife ...

Once settled into the ac year, collaborate with roommates to see what is needed.
