My DS was wait-listed to the CGAS program so we wait some more. Yes, he has Plan A..Plan B and Plan C in place. All his plans are outstanding, but I was just wondering what has anyone heard about this wait-list? I looked and just saw a bunch of posts saying waitlisted. Does anyone know of someone who was offered a spot off the wait-list? How many are wait-listed? I know the odds are pretty high for him. We are realistic. Just trying to gather information.

We had the same question. It seems there were a fairly large number of candidates who were waitlisted to CGAS (DS included).

I know of at least one at MMI currently who was on the waitlist. I think there are a couple. Odds aren’t too bad. Also the fact that you were waitlisted bodes well in my mind if you were to self prep if you didn’t get picked off the list......my two cents.

DS was wait-listed on December EA. Received a call from the academy for his appointment May 3 at noon.

Last year at this time my DD was wait listed for CGAS. No call ever came. So she moved on to plan B.

One more thing. If from EA there is more hope. From RA very little hope.

I'm curious why you would say this. It seems if they are looking to round out a class than they would be looking at the entire waitlist not just EA. The letter states that the waitlist is not ranked.

I don't think there is any basis for the opinion you are responding to. The bigger thing to worry about is that, based on last year's numbers, the waitlist for CGAS is quite large, and it is hard to predict movement off it.
