Does anyone really know what "board qualified" means. Seems like there are lots of guesses and terms thrown around, but does anyone really know?

It means that the Admissions Board has deemed you scholastically qualified. 1/3 of 3Qed, the other two parts being physically and medically.

Yup! Scholaticaly Qualified by the Academy to contine your application process and submit required documents and continue the admission process. 1/3 on the way up the ladder to 2/3 DoDMERB and 3/3 pass CFA. Nomination comes next which is probably 3/3 +. Last hurdle is Appointment (3/3 + + +). My daughter's roommate was accepted to Stanford and couldn't believe what my daughter had to go through for acceptance to the Naval Academy.

and probably won't believe what she has to go through to graduate either!

Thanks for info

Thanks, it is finally starting to make sense, his medical is clear, CFA is decent, and he has a nomination from our Congressman. Waiting on Senators. I guess it is still wait and see time.

Does anyone ever get a letter stating that they passed the CFA?

CFA Letter

My experience is - and unless something has changed - no, you won't get a letter saying you're CFA qualified.

STANFORD with a "T" not SANDHURST and in no way a prep school. "On the playing fields of Eaton". Lots of good officers from Stanford and Eaton though.

At YALE if you get in they make sure you graduate. At USNA they will try and try and try to help you but it is up to you to graduate.
