I have been reading posts on this forum for a long time. I finally have a question that I didn't find answered when I searched.

Do the PMSs at each of the schools I listed on my scholarship application have access to my whole ap? The reason I ask is that I got an email from one of the PMS at one of the schools today. It's the only school I haven't visited in-person yet.

Yes, the PMS at every school you listed will see your entire application.

Don't be surprised if you receive emails or letters from Battalion/Schools that you did not list on your application. Not really sure how they get the names.

My son received several letters from schools he never listed, as it turned out he ended up adding one of those schools to his list prior to the first board.

Not that I like to give away my secrets...we use a system called CCIMS (Cadet Command information management system). There is a way for us to see every applicant, and if you know the trick you can see name, address, phone number, and status of all applicants. Some schools who have figured it out will send out mass mailings. It's also possible to filter and send out a mailing to every applicant in a specific state. We can only see the entire file on anyone who lists our schools or gives us their SSN. I'm an email guy, so I don't use snail mail like some of my peers do. I applied this year, and got two letters from schools, including a letter from one of the other ROOs, who should have recognized my name. I was amused to see what the sales pitch was.

Related follow-up question: the email suggested revisiting the schools of intent list but I think I read here that that is "frozen" after a certain date. The school that sent the email was not in my top 3. I had everything complete before the deadline for the first board. Can I still shuffle my schools around in terms of ranking? Will it change how my application is viewed by the board?
