what does the appointment packet come in package wise?? a manilla envelope, a flat rate box? my sister orders books all the time and those stupid flat rate boxes come to my door every other day. my heart drops everytime i see them and then.......NOPE another book!! ahhhhh!!!

Yes, waiting is tough.

My son's appointment offer came in a Priority Mail envelope. Stuck in the mailbox just like the other mail. Though the envelope was rigid due to the leather folder the appointment comes in.

No Special Delivery, no Express Mail. Though others have reported getting their appointment by other means.

I do encourage you to stay in touch with your MALO and regional admissions officer. They are your advocate. My son sent a weekly email informing them of any academic, ACT/SAT test scores, or sports developments. Don't be afraid to add items to your file.

He also attended the local USMA info session in October, where he talked to the visiting cadet, his MALO, the region admissions officer, the representative from the local Congressman's office, and another visiting admissions officer who had not been to the area before. Never pass up an opportunity to talk with these people - they are all interested in your interest in attending the USMA.

buddy, you need to chill out

I waited three long months after school started before hearing back from West Point and I dont recall making a thread every week about how the waiting sucks

just relax...

haha its really difficult!
In better words than Chockstock:thumb:.... Just try to put all that nervous energy to good use, like pushing out a set of push ups or pull ups. OR just get it off your mind and focus on other things. The letter will come soon enough.:thumb:

I know how you feel man, this is just want I'm trying to do...thought it would help you :D.

haha i will ,but not push ups right now. tomorrow i'm maxing out in my football class and am gonna try to break my own school record on Power clean of 300 i'm going for 315 wish me luck!!!

Sick man! I hope you get it. I'm shooting for 280 for my clean in my max week which comes up in like a month or so.

sweet are you a recruited athlete? if so are you gonna play football at USMA

Good luck on the 280!!!! it starts getting tough to go up in weight once you hit 275. You'll get it though. youll probaby get more. when you go to do it dont start with lower weight. i made this mistake when going for 300 , i started with 275 and went up by 10 every time. I could have gotten more had i not been fatigued from the previous sets.

Unfortunately I'm not, and I actually applied to USAFA. I hope to try and play football or baseball at the academy though if I do get accepted.

I just saw your post and wanted to give some words of encouragement from someone in the same position as you ;)

And I'm planning on 260, 270, 280 hopefully as my reps.

thanks for the help. well if we both get appointed then maybe we will meet on the playing field sometime.!! haha:thumb:

My son's came in a white first priority mail large flat package. It is bigger than normal mail that you would receive, but it is not in a box like a book !
