Aloha… I was just wondering if instruction is finished… what happens now till graduation?

I would guess finals would only take a couple days maybe a week. What else fills the time till the graduation?

Exams, Sea Trials, briefs, prepare for summer training (some will go on zero block training after exams), uniform prep and issue (if not done yet) for summer, more briefs, clean out rooms, intersessional leave. And then finally Commissioning Week; ring dance, Herndon, and all the other events with finally graduation day. It’s a busy time, but in a different way. The yard is alive and beautiful, lots of energy, happy Mids.

Mahalo … I understand… I was thinking there might be something mystical I hadn’t thought of. LOL

Admin. Room clear out. Uniform storage. Briefs for summer training. Zero block starts right after exam period. Turn-in of various things. Turnover of company positions. Maybe a few days of “intersessional leave,” which doesn’t usually appear on the calendar.

With the Plebe scramble and companies assignments just announced you can add "find new company area" and "locking in roommate(s)". DS said they had to wait to figure out roommate until they knew what deck they would be on and company. This due to the fact that each deck and company have some unique twists for room layouts and room assignments.

I told DS to view changing companies and decks as getting a new ship or unit assignment when he gets into the Fleet. He is very much aligned with the scramble. Of course, it is not like the 'Dant asked DS his opinion before making the announcement :)

Pulling things out of the ceiling that mids stored there. Organizing their storage in a way that aligns with what they need for each summer training block.

Making sure sponsor is available or willing to lend a key for last minute summer training changes that require different uniforms or gear at the last minute. Plan on this happening.

Dealing with all the fun and crowds and pomp and circumstance of commissioning week. Saying “see you when I see you” to their favorite firsties who are headed to the seven seas.
