My son is still waiting to hear about his NROTC scholarship but in the meantime all the schools he listed on his application are full. Now what? I guess we can pay for the first year and try for a 3yr scholarship....

    Mr. McMahon,

    Thank you for your question.

LT Erin Connor is our placement officer. If your son is selected for a scholarship and all of his top 5 schools are quota filled, then she will work one-on-one with him to be placed at a university he wants to attend.

For a list of schools that are not quota filled, please send a request by email to LT Connor at pnsc_nrotc.placement@navy.mil.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Take care and have a great day,

Good afternoon - I have spoken before with a Lt. Ernique Sensler(?), USN before....I have a follow-up question regarding my son's Marine Option Scholarship Application.

All 5 of his selections of schools are telling us that they are "quota filled" - these schools are Norwich, Penn State, Virginia Tech, VMI and Villanova. He has only applied to Norwich and Penn State on this list. other schools he has applied to include Drexel and Maine Maritime Academy.

If he get's a scholarship can you tell me or help me with the following:

a.) What happens if all schools are still "quota filled" that are on his application list? What is the protocol for assigning the scholarship?
b.) Can you share with us now any schools that he could apply to that are NOT quota filled?

    Thank you for your help.

    Best regards,
