what is the deadline for completing the application?

That's so weird, it's happened to me twice:

In October 1st SATs, i got my scores late october, and AFA got them in middle November.

In November 4th SATs, I got my scores about late November, and AFA got them literately last friday (cause i remember calling thursday night wondering if they had gotten it cause I was going to mail them myself) Jan 9.

Oh well, I guess it was just my experience. It pissed me off cause I thought the board wouldn't be able to see my highest grades.

yeah, my ACT's/SAT's showed up rather quickly. there might've been like a 5 or 6 day delay, but regardless.

My SAT scores showed up rather quick, about a week after they were posted online....
As did mine.
In response to your question, CAP_C/2dLt, whether or not your scores will arrive on time depends on when College Board releases them. You should be able to find more info about when you'll receive them at collegeboard.com. Also, there may be an option for rush delivery. I recall using that for my scores when I had them sent to my MOCs.

As to the deadline, I was under the impression that the due date was the end of January. However, the AFA counselor said I had until March 1 to resubmit the CFA...

I'm pretty sure March 1 is the day everything but transcripts has to be submitted. Jan 31 is the last day for nominations. Unless I'm missing something in the booklet...

According to the academy admissions website

Deadline for submitting the Precandidate Questionnaire online is January 31.

All application-related documents must be received by the Academy no later than March 1.
and
Congressional representatives and other nominating persons submit nominations to the Academy between December 1 and January 31
.

So I'd say you are correct, sooner.

Chriskim,

I would strongly suggest you take down your avatar. If you get in...don't you think that you are putting a bullseye on you for BCT...showing your pic and having USNA moniker makes you someone they can quickly find...especially if your name really is Chris Kim...you might as well wear a t-shirt saying come and get me...I am not afraid of you.
A couple of yrs ago there was a you-tube clip of getting in a kids face on I-Day, all due to the fact of his pic on myspace (he was real gung-ho AF)
Trust me the threads will soon change when the kids go from asking about noms and selection to what is BCT really like. Over on CC they jokingly said they were taking names. Class of 12 was a little full of themselves on line thinking that it is totally anonymonous. (you would be shocked how much info you can give out without ever knowing...i.e. CC's son is a football player for the AFA from MT...not many of them floating around, or flymom's daughter is from NC, or our son was a military child from NC whose Dad was an LTC and flew Strikes) My favorite was a kid that taunted people until someone reminded him that they would be looking for a pr of Asian twins from NY (the poor kid now had fear in his mind b/c his brother had never been on the site and could get the fall) He couldn't figure out how they figured him out until they pasted and posted his comments.

Good luck ...just remember Wabbit season is June for Class of 13:jaw:
um. I have no problem showing my face. I have no problem showing my accomplishments and ect. Not to be full of myself, but to give the responses more things to digest, so that the proper response will not be of ignorance.

And that counts for my 'avatar'. That's who I am, and I desire nothing less or more to be shown
Those who are willing to get in one's face due to his desire to acquire knoweledge of his surroundings to me is naught but a fool.

Kim, you already have much to learn. Knock that chip off your shoulder. Cadre aren't fools and have no problem singling you out for ANYTHING.

Hi, I'm taking the SAT's one more time and I'm wondering if the scores will be available to USAFA by the deadline. The next test is this weekend (January 24th), and the scores are available online by Febuary 12th. But according to collegeboard USAFA recieves these scores by mail which takes two to three weeks. Is there anything I can do to make sure that USAFA gets the scores in time, or at least considers them? I saw in a previous post about rush delivery but I could find no mention of this on collegeboard's site. Any input I would greatly appreciate.

if you make it to usafa, you're going to wish that you either had never said that or had deleted that post. that was very memorable chriskim, the cadets will surely think so too

I always love April/May/June

The candidates are so excited(APRIL) and then the bravado comes out of you can't break me(MAY) and then REALISM hits (JUNE).

I believe every cadet wants everybody to succeed, but they themselves are the only people who through experience have a quick judgement on who's going to easily make it and who's going to be ridden harder.

It's not all about the myspace/facebook issue. It is about the entire attitude.

Be proud of your accomplishments, but be realistic that the person to your left and to your right was just as good and maybe even better than you. Than look at the BCT commander and quickly realize they have one more thing than you do...they made it through BCT. This will occur over and over in your career..even graduation from the AFA 25% will be gone, than selection for UPT, graduation from UPT and finally being promoted to field grade and flag officer.

There were several candidates for 12 that had what some might deem as a chip on their shoulder. I wonder if they are still there...they were frequent posters on here and CC, but even during break they have not shown up. This doesn't mean they left, what I am wondering is if they changed their view on taunting the cadre!

First lesson learned for any future officer, say yes sir/mam and salute sharply. NEVER defend yourself because there is no defense...i..e

Welcome to the life of the military...you will always have to follow someone...even the JCS says yes sir, granted it is to a select few, but he still says it and will always be held accountable for his actions.
