I apologize in advance if this has already been mentioned in this forum, but what will DoDMERB read once a final determination is reached? I am asking because I am currently waiting for a final determination on my remedial portal and have been anxious to find out a definite answer about my medical. I am currently on a Marine NROTC scholarship pending on my medical but based on my allergist results, I am already anticipating a certain outcome. My profile is complex, I'm sure, but after 4 years of trying to get into the military (senior year of HS trying to enlist, 2 years of USNA applications, and 1.5 years of NROTC) and being a junior in college heading into his senior year come fall, I just wish to know an answer so I can plan for whatever my future may hold and give my officer staff, shipmates, and parents some clarity as well. Also would be nice to know if I will be heading to Officer Candidate School come summertime as well.
Even if I happen to be denied a waiver and deemed unfit for service, I can at least say I tried all avenues possible and won't have any regrets looking back. To everyone who's helped me over the past couple of years on these forums, sincerely thank you.
Very Respectfully,
