What would be average numbers for NROTC MO

@rayrotc - Marines (and Marine Options) are not "average"

What exactly are you looking for?
Like stats for the average winner as in academics, extra curriculars, PT scores, etc. And I have the greatest respect for Marines. Sorry if I came off "different"

@rayrotc - you didn't come across poorly. I was having fun at your expense. Sorry about that.

I always hesitate to fuel discussions on what it takes, averages, etc. To me, it begs the question: "what does it mean if you find out the answer. Are you going to limit yourself and not apply?" To me, averages are averages. Very little course direction. We have seen people get scholarships that have very low scores in some area and others who haven't gotten a scholarship with water-walking resumes.

I recommend you or your buddies search this forum because there are a lot of threads that speak to NROTC MO results and debates on PFT scores, etc. Its a good starting point.

above average academics and academic testing
much above average physical conditioning and demonstrated leadership

the ability and drive to jump the hoops for the application process

more or less

This is to my curiosity because I have younger friends that may apply
The statistics for your region are readily available if you go and talk to your local OSO or even a recruiter. The statistics you are looking for vary widely by region. One thing I can tell you is that numbers do not matter nearly as much as effort, I’ve learned that you can have less than competitive “numbers” in one or maybe even two areas if you are willing to put out and try your best at everything. Coincidentally, if you give 100% in whatever you’re going for, typically your “stats” will resemble that effort. Effort... not numbers, in my experience.

Numbers only part way get you in the door. Just guidelines and cutoffs. A huge factor is the input / screening of the Marine Officer(s) that interview you.
