When do Denials usually come?

I got my nominations back in November and I've been sitting on pins and needles since then it seems like and waiting until April seems to make it more nerve wracking...geeze the anticipation is killer

We feel your "pain". We have been waiting also. It's hard to believe waiting 9 months for my son to be born was not as bad as it has been waiting for him to receive any sort o notification.

since not one has chimed in about online status changing, I assume those that got notified of appointment by a phone call from MOC are still listed as "Candidate".
What I don't understand is why the online status and the recent offers of appointments have not been synced yet since many of them were called last week.
Still waiting for my DS...and feeling discouraged

My online status is still listed as "Candidate" even though I was offered an appointment last Friday. I am still waiting for my appointee packet too.

Ulcer

By the second week in APRIL I will definitely have an ulcer.... Luckily my son is much cooler about this whole process than I am.

:shake:

I spoke to our admissions counselor and she said everyone will know one way or another by April 1st....not end of April as was written further up....anyway...we'll see.

And yes, I heard they do send denial letters. Some people receive denial letters and then get into the prep school so you never know...but usually they happen pretty close to one another....not sure which comes first or even if one must go out first or not.

I called my admissions counselor again on Friday; she, again, informed me that everyone will be notified by the end of April...with most people who still haven't heard back getting notified to their status in the next 2-3 weeks.

Yes, everyone being notified one way or another by April 1st is NOT realistic, not practical, and I don't believe has EVER been that way. It's usually the end of April, with some of those filling in slots turned down, notified as late as June. And those can be tricky, depending on "WHAT APPOINTMENT/NOMINATION was turned down". Some times the new appointment can be off the national list, sometimes it has to come from the local district/state. It all depends. But do not think that you guaranteed to hear something on April 1st. And maybe because it's "April Fool's Day", that is feeding the belief. Best of luck to you all, I know it's frustrating. Mike....

How are those people whose online status hasn't changed supposed to sign up for orientation?

My son got the MOC call March 18, called his Academy Counselor on the 26th just to verify Appointee status and asked how to proceed with Orientation. The response was "congratulations" and go ahead and make plans, i.e hotel, flights, etc. -they are running 7-10 days behind in getting status updates. Also orientation dates won't close, according to the website, until the Thursday before each start date. We just booked a flight!
