As I understand it, at Valley Forge, you can earn a 2-yr Associates degree, so I'm not sure how staying an extra year or 2 would work. You should check with Valley Forge to get good advice on your plan
I'm also assuming you are thinking about the Army's Early Commissioning program? I may not be understanding your question, but if you are pursuing the Army's Early Commissioning/ROTC path to commissioning, you only "go to DoDMERB" after you've been awarded a scholarship, and you have to pass the DoDMERB prior to scholarship funds starting.
Others that know more than I on the Army Early Commissioning program may be able to provide you better advice. Best wishes to you and thank you for your willingness serve.
