Big Fat Envelope, it's what the appointment comes in.
When you receive an appt, USNA notifies your Representative and gives him/her about a week to contact you. He/she may or may not do so. At that point, USNA mails out your appt certificate. About a week after that (long after you know), USNA notifies your BGO (updating your status in BGO system).
It's possible to receive an appointment if you have ANY nom, and in rare cases, if you have no noms (you can get one from a source to which you can't apply, such as the Supe). That said, some candidates with multiple noms won't receive an appointment.
I've been looking at the 2014 data and ALOT of candidates have MOC noms and only about 350 or so have a JROTC nom. does that mean that they got both (an MOC and JROTC) or one or the other?
