When does the second wave come out?

Just got the call from my MOC earlier as well! It's funny because a few hours ago I got a fortune cookie in the dining hall and it read "Good news will come to you by mail." And then 30 minutes later I had a voice-mail. I called back and it was my MOC congratulating me. I hope everyone else hears back soon!

Maybe I should get myself a fortune cookie...

Don't lose hope! We are in the same boat!

If I don't get a call from my MOC or FFR, does that mean I should not be expecting a BFE this week? Or is it still possible? My portal hasn't been updated either.

It's definitely still possible. MOCs are given 72 hours to contact their appointees (so, until Friday evening I believe). Only some actually call their appointees though. It depends on the MOC. After that, BFEs begin to arrive (usually on Friday or Saturday, rarely on Monday) and occasionally the portal updates.

My MOC didn't call me I found out via portal 3 days later

FYI @2019 mom , my son was called by his MOC, then 2 days later the BFE arrived and three days after that, his portal was updated. But if he got the call - he's in!! So congrats all around.

What timezone are you in?

What time does the MOC usually call because I don't get home until after the government offices close? I usually get home at about 1800 to 1830 everyday.

It varies, my DS was called at 4:30 pm. if you miss the call most will leave a message asking that you return their call.

Let me rephrase the question. Lets say they sent out the information at 5 EST. We are Eastern Standard time but if you are in California, then your MOC would have 3 extra hours to place the call yesterday, vs the end of day for us in on this coast. So those on the east Coast might expect a call today since MOC staff members (who are the ones notified and run this part of their office) would see it in their in boxes first thing today.

So the question simply is, if you received a call, what timezone where you in? I'm Curious.

Is the FFR/MALO allowed to notify candidates? I talked to mine yesterday and he said my file had been reviewed but made it out to sound like he wasn't allowed to say anything about an appointment.

Yes, they can but not until after the 72 hour window that is given to the MOC to congratulate the candidate.

I've read conflicting reports that 150 appointments typically come off the NWL, and then another that says 500 typically come off the NWL. If I understand correctly, 635 potentially could come off of MOC + 100 Presidential + 5 VP = this still leaves @ 500 appointments which would seem to come off the NWL - but perhaps I am missing ROTC etc? Can someone clear this up for me.
