When should I expect a turndown?

Like a lot of other candidates, I’ve been CPR since the fall. I have two noms and still haven’t heard anything from admissions. As I see more and more appointments go out, I can’t help but to get anxious that time is running out. When should I expect a turndown?

Also, if USNA doesn’t fall through, I have an appointment to KP as well as a NROTC scholarship to VT. I have no idea which path to take...

If UzsNA is your first choice I'd take the NROTC route. You end up in the same place and can reapply.

You'll see a turndown when you do. Until then you're still in the running.

Edit: When you had your application complete has little or nothing to do with when you receive an appoint. They cant start sorting out slate's until they've been submitted by MOC and all apps on the slate are complete.

As many have said in other threads, you are in it until you are not. My DS is in the same position as you. It is stressful, I get that, but you really are in it until you are not. I have NO inside info on the process like other members of these forums have, but it seems to me that if you were not competitive, you would have received the TWE already. Perhaps they are looking at which Nomination pool is best to put you in for the overall picture?? All I am saying is that it is out of your hands at this point and thinking the worst does you no good.

I have an appointment to KP
Congrats on having options! Please add your name to the USMMA Appointment thread for the c/o 24

Work your Plan B, get excited and committed about it. It also Helps take away the stress and anxiety of waiting on plan A.

If Plan A comes through? Then decide.

You have two very good options!! Congrats!!

When DD was accepted to her best non-SA option, but still awaiting SA decision, she mentally and emotionally decided that’s where she was going.

Then, when the SA offers came in, it was an easy transition. Managing expectations — “hope for the best, prepare for the worst” — is a great life skill. (By the way, most SA candidates’ Plan Bs can hardly be considered “worst.”)
