When should I hear back from the NROTC Marine Option Selection Board?

My application is currently being reviewed by the NROTC Marine option early board. The Board began meeting today and I was wondering when I would hear back from them on whether I was accepted for the four year scholarship or not.

If you were selected to receive a scholarship offer, approximately mid-December through Christmas. You will not be advised anything if you do not receive an offer.

That's exactly what my DS was told.

It's possible you may not receive a negative reply until sometime in April. Make sure you're ready to execute plan B, C, D, or E if that's the case. This is what happened with DS and we executed plan B (same as plan a without the scholarship). He enrolled in NROTC without the scholarship and won a sideload scholarship in his sophomore year.

Good Luck! Hope a scholarship comes through for you.

The Marine option boards meet by district, so they aren't all on the same dates. However, most are mid October through early November. This past year, first board results were released to the units on 11 DEC.

Mudge540, could you show me your resume. It would be nice to see the resume of someone who was awarded the scholarship just so I can have something to compare my resume to. Can you tell me your GPA, SAT/ACT scores, PFT, extracurriculars, athletics, leadership positions and any other factors that may have helped you get the scholarship? If you don't want to share your information online that's fine too but it would really be helpful to me.
