When will I get my appointment?

Hello. I received a LOA in November, and recently received a medical waiver and nomination. When will I receive my appointment? Also, will the appointment come through my portal, in the mail, or over a phone call? Thank you!

Has your portal processed your nomination yet? It usually takes USAFA several days to process everything. That being said, you should probably receive your offer of appointment not long after they process your medical and nomination status

Yes, the nomination was processed on Wednesday. Hopefully the appointment will be coming this week then! Thank you!

You should receive an email telling you to login to your portal. There you will see your congratulatory appointment. Great job, keep up the hard work. My son just finished his first semester there, 7 more to go....

My son did not receive an email alerting him to check his portal. He just kept checking the portal and then all of a sudden there was an announcement for him of the appointment. He had to click to accept or reject the offer and also had to send a form allowing a criminal background investigation.

I can say with 100% confidence, that it would need to happen prior to June 25th, 2020.

@409cow Your appointment is guaranteed? Did someone tell you that?
What about your CFA? Your 7th & 8th Semester grades. Making a poor decision on a Friday nite? IOW: you are definitely in the running, probably more yours to lose than not but....you still have to continue to make the academic, character, etc. requirements.
