My daughter has been over 50% complete with her Naval Academy application for more than a month. When should see the information to begin her DoDMERB?

50 pct may, or may not, be a threshold. It’s been as much as 100 pct before (excluding noms, BGO interview and medical).

Keep moving forward on her application!

You have probably seen in other threads DoDMERB website is down. My GUESS is that may impact auto-generated messages to candidates after the SAs tell DoDMERB to initiate the medical review process. My GUESS is there may be an impact with DoDMERB activating the DoDMETS coordination process.

Or - the SA hasn’t asked DoDMERB to start the medical process yet.

Your DD could try the DoDMETS site, follow the instructions for new log-in, see if she can get in if her file has been uploaded.

She can click on applicant log-in, follow first-timer instructions, see what happens.

And, she can pop up on the live USNA Admissions chat, which most days runs daily from noon-1 ET. She will click on the blue chat widget on the Admissions pages and have her candidate number handy. They may or may not tell her if her medical has been initiated. Thousands of applications are flooding in. Admissions does not have thousands of staff. Or even hundreds.

This is a looonnggg road. Part of the test. An applicant can have everything in by Sep-Oct and still wait to mid-April or beyond. The medical portion does not have a due date once the applicant completes everything they need to submit, and if they act promptly any time the ball is back in their court. Medical can and does go well into spring at times.

Your daughter, the applicant, should follow Capt MJ's advice :wiggle:

Some updates on DoDMerb. So, my daughter‘s Naval App has been complete since early October, still no DoDMERB link as of last week. She had followed up with DODMETS and they had not received anything yet to begin the process with my daughter.

Last week, she received an email from Naval Academy Med group telling my her they sent her information to DoDMERB on 9/22, sounds like right around the time DoDMERB went down. So, after some back and forth and forwarding the DoDMETS emails to the Academy, they resent her DoDMERB info yeaterday and hopefully by Tuesday she can begin the process!

I am currently applying to the USNA and USMA and am getting ready to fill out my medical history for my DODMERB account. However, I am unable to login into my account because it says that my password is incorrect. I have tried to change my password using the password reset link, but I have yet to receive an email on any of the 3 email addresses I have provided. I have reached out to DODMETS via email and plan to call over there tomorrow morning. What should I do?

Have you tried logging into DoDMETS, a different system, using the “new user” log-in? Clear cache, do other housekeeping, to ensure there is no junk lying around.

If your record has been passed by one of the SAs to DoDMERB to commence your medical review process, you might be able to log in. If you are able to get into the DoDMETS site, I believe you have to update your profile with a new personal password, and you will eventually see the stuff that you take action on, print out, etc.

If you are earlier than this in the process, I don’t know how to advise you, as I believe the DoDMERB website is still afflicted with its ongoing tech outage.

Sorry, I have already logged into my DoDMETS account (I was unaware that there is a difference between DoDMETS and DoDMERB websites) after the USNA passed my record onto DoDMERB to start my medical review process. The only issue that I am currently having is logging into my account. I have been having this problem for a couple of days and I still am unable to log in due to a password failure.

If you tried your SSN with dashes and your last name multiple times, you may be locked out. Try clearing your cache and a different browser, just in case.

If still no luck, call the DoDMETS number listed for help with log-in tomorrow.
