Which branch of service's ROTC program are you referring to?
There are plenty of documented cases where NROTC scholarships were awarded in mid and late April in prior years. There are a few (quite rare) cases where AROTC scholarships were awarded after the third round.

Regardless of which branch, the portals will not be updated until after you are no longer being considered. You are considered, until you are not. Then, it will be updated to say "Not selected" or whatever. Some AROTC applicants see a status that indicate they were not selected. Some NROTC applicants reportedly see this status already unfortunately in the portal - their journey, for this year's application, has ended and they move on to their plan B, C, competing on campus for a scholarship, etc.

Please don't assume you're out of the running especially for Navy, but please know for Army it's rare at this point, if you're not awarded already. I can't speak for Air Force options.

Best of luck to all candidates awaiting decisions and hang in there - hope this helps.

Waiting to see if there is a possibility for an Army ROTC. It gives me some hope. I appreciate the reply.

back in 2015 when my son was waiting to hear we were told for Army ROTC that it would either say Winner or just remain boarded. There would not be any change if you didn't get awarded a scholarhip, it would just remain as boarded.

Per above looks like in the past per @turtlerunnernc that the AROTC may just stay boarded and not update for Army. For Army, the reality is I think the chances are slim you will receive a national scholarship if you haven't already by the third board. But your journey if you want to serve does not have to end there. Please do stay in touch with the ROO at the school you will attend and you can still join AROTC and compete for a campus based scholarship. At some schools the rate of cadets winning 3 year scholarships, sometimes 3.5 is high. Others - not so much. Talk to them and confirm the specifics. You should also continue to look at your plan B, C (other options). Best of luck and I hope you join next year/ have a good success story to share with the board in the months ahead of either a national scholarship (rare) or a nice campus scholarship and service leadership opportunity.

well mate I wouldn't assume anything I haven't heard of any winners of the march board and the website even states "
We anticipate the offers to be made around the first two weeks in April 2019." and its only been one week so idk but keep hoping bud

There may be more results coming but others have posted that the third board results were received - at least in some cases - see thread here. https://www.serviceacademyforums.co...d-results-are-posted.67174/page-4#post-664742

I hope the best for each of you that are waiting!

Another forum in here is stating that there will be no campus based scholarships next year. Has that happened in the past?

That sounds like complete BS. Don't put much stock into internet speculation. :)

FYI: The portal for DS/DD just updated to "Not Selected" sometime this morning. Kind of guessed it, but it is official now.

If you have not already - you need to contact the ROO at the school you plan on attending in the fall. In the past, all Army scholarship portals were changed on the same day, and no changes after that. According to Labrador there might have been an added category this year (if that was for Army?). But regardless, the ROO at your future school will know for sure what your status is. You can then let them know you will be attending in the fall. They most likely will want to see how you do the first semester before talking about scholarships, however, there have been acceptions to that rule. None the less, get on email or better yet, the phone and contact the school you will attend without a scholarship and talk to the ROO. Good luck and keep us posted.

My DS portal just updated to “Not Selected”. This year has been by far my most stressful time as his father. He has already been accepted to an excellent school where he will try and get contracted once he’s able to prove himself. I just worry with him getting student loans.

Sorry to hear about those who are learning it is definitely not happening. @JOEKEN yes this is stressful! Hang in there, it will get easier (sometimes harder for awhile) then easier! We have 3 in college and the first one graduates (and commissions) next May! But seriously - hang in there!
