When you receive your AROTC letter, post results here

DD received notice today:

- 4 year to University of Florida (1st choice)
- 3 year to LSU (4th choice)

Website only showed LSU and we were at UF meeting with admissions (Friday they will announce freshman decisions) and they let us know she also was selected for the AROTC scholarship. She also has an NROTC 4 year to UF. Decision time soon as West Point will announce at the end of the month and she has a Coast Guard Academy appointment already......

I'm sending a PM.

Just a quick question: Of everyone receiving their offer letters so far, where are you located? I have been offered a scholarship and I am eagerly awaiting the official letter from Cadet Command. I live in Pennsylvania.

Congratulations to your daughter on her appointment and both of her ROTC scholarships! She must be quite a young lady.

My son is a MSIII at UF in the AROTC so I thought I would reach out and say "It's great to be a Florida Gator!" If your daughter has any questions, please let me know. My son LOVES UF. It was his first choice, even over West Point and he was thrilled when he received the scholarship there. He is very involved with ROTC and their various teams and truly enjoys all aspects of life up there.

Congrats!!

DS receiver letter yesterday. :thumb:4 year to University of Colorado Boulder. This was the school listed on the portal and the only one listed on his letter. He is alrady accepted and deposits paid last month. We live in Colorado. Great job everyone.

Son received his letter - 4 yr AROTC to Virginia Tech, College of Engineering

It was the only school listed though he had numerous others listed in his application, most of which are less academically rigorous institutions. No idea why that is.....

I just received my official scholarship offer letter from Cadet Command. I received a four-year scholarship to my #3 school choice.

Is there anyone else who received notice of the scholarship via portal but hasn't received anything in the mail??...This waiting is getting intense.

Still waiting for letter. NY. Congratulations to all. Hurry up and wait.:shake:

No letter yet (WI resident) but found out that I was awarded 3 year scholarship to #2 choice private school and 3 year to #6 choice OOS public school. Didn't get anything to public state school which was #1 choice.

NROTC 4-yr recipient
USMMA on "hold"
USCGA still under review

Almost posted a different response and then noticed that you have almost the exact same user ID as another Poster on here.

Anyway, congratulations on your scholarships, personally I'm pulling for the USCGA, but I'm an old Coastie and a bit biased.

Congratulations, I guess.

Reading your post history, it sounds like your #2 AROTC choice (Marquette?) was actually your #1 choice? and your #1 choice (UW Madison?) yielded NROTC but not AROTC. And your #6 OOS (Nebraska?) didn't sound like that was too much of a disappointment...

Of course, like the above, if your heart is set on USMMA, I'm rooting for you too. Not too many folks around here who appreciate that option.

DS received his letter two days ago awarding 3yr AD to his #2 Va Tech and #3 Univ of Illinois UC (in-state). He applied for regular decision, so doesn’t have acceptance to either yet. His real #1 is USMA or USNA and is also waiting on NROTC.

I am curious if they do it like the ADAF... the last 4 of your social, thus it may not be so much of where you live or the college, but your digits.

Pima, you could be correct. DS received letter two days ago in rural, upstate NY....we count ourselves lucky to GET our mail.

AROTC Scholarship

Is it safe to assume at this point that if your status has not changed on the AROTC status site that you probably have not been awarded a scholarship from the 2nd board or is there still a chance you may get one? Does anyone know if Nursing has a separate board?
My daughter also applied for NROTC Nursing Scholarship and supposedly they do nursing on a separate board. Just wondering if Army does the same?

Dad of Nursing ROTC Scholarship applicant?

I believe the boards for Army Nursing and regular scholarships are the same. I would give it a couple more days since it seems not everyone has received their letters yet. If you don't get anything in the next couple days they it would be safe to say she has been moved to the final board.

Thanks for the response. We'll keep our hopes up as she has gotten into all the Nursing programs she has applied to except one that she is still waiting to hear from.
