Where is Everyone Taking Their ROTC Scholarship?!?!?! (Any Branch)

Nephew 4yr AROTC - VMI, Pending USNA, NROTC other school choices. Lots of good opportunities to choose from. He is revisiting schools before final decision.

I noticed a number of posters who have received ROTC scholarships but are waiting to hear about admissions. A question is often asked, "I have an xROTC scholarship in hand to XYZ College or University and it's my dream school, but have not yet been admitted. Should I contact the Department of Admissions?" If your intent is to attend that school, then the answer is an unequivocal YES.

Congratulations and Best of luck to you all! You are at the beginning of what will be the most exciting years of your lives.

DS. 4 Yr NROTC. Currently placed at Duke. Awaiting RD unless he hears from USNA in the meantime. Best of luck to all of you.

My son received a 3 year Advanced Designee Army ROTC scholarship and has decided to attend George Mason University where he was also accepted into the Honors College there.

DS received a 4 year AROTC scholarship to Cornell, UCLA and USC. Most likely choosing Cornell. Also waiting on USMA and USNA. So many wonderful options.

Congratulations on all of the achievements listed on this thread. Our country will be in great hands with the next generation!

At the Second Class Parents Weekend for Class of 2018 in Oct 2016, USNA Superintendent shared a new study they did for the first time: where else the Class of 2020 had applied. Congrats to all who are willing to serve this great nation regardless of the path!

That's fascinating info. I wish the Ivies were broken out. Interesting that no USNA kids got into MIT (if I'm reading that correctly).
