Where is Everyone Taking Their ROTC Scholarship?!?!?! (Any Branch)

That's fascinating info. I wish the Ivies were broken out. Interesting that no USNA kids got into MIT (if I'm reading that correctly).
I interpret the graph in saying that about 5 USNA candidates got both offers of appointment to USNA and acceptances for admissions to MIT, but all of them declined their USNA offers and decided to go to MIT instead.

I took it a different way - I interpreted the statement "where else the Class of 2020 had applied" as to where current students had also applied to and if they were accepted or declined.

Ok, I see what you're saying.

However, the graph used the word "Declined." Not "Rejected."

I could be wrong though.

I see what you're saying. Good point. So does "decline" mean that those students declined the USNA for the school shown and "accepted" means that those pplicants accepted USNA over the other schools?

My 4-year Navy Option NROTC scholarship was just transferred to the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!
Rooster... My DS will be a 1st class and more than likely he will be there for your NSO. Great unit and the school has been great for my DS. Work hard and stay away from poor decisions. All the best Gamecock.

That's how I saw it. I also see what you see.

My alma mater. It's a great unit. Just hosted them in New Orleans this weekend for the Mardi Gras Drill Meet; they took home third place out of 18 teams.

Ah! Didn't know you had a connection there too! Seems like this whole forum can trace to USC. What a small world this NROTC thing is!

4 year AROTC, will decide by the end of the week between WVU and Syracuse....

A poorly labeled graph is like French Impressionism...subject to interpretation!

I believe the graph shows of the Plebes in class of 2020, where else did they applied (among those schools on the chart), and how many were accepted there but still choose to come to USNA.

Does Army notify you when they've received your scholarship acceptance? I sent it back by email yesterday and did not know if they update your portal when they receive it.

Yes DD's portal updated showing Accepted next to school she chose and the other schools were deleted. It took about 48 hours from time she emailed.

So only 5 had applied to MIT, and all five got rejected??? Both of these facts are surprising.
