Where to buy USMMA Swag/Fan Gear/Clothing... anything with a logo

Where are you from in CA? Are you still in CA? I am also a native Californian and my 2024 son is also a native Californian. He is going to be leaving the mid-60's temps here in Nor Cal to go back to KP in just a couple of days.
I lived all over CA growing up. Born in the Bay Area (my folks lived in Hayward at the time). Then lived in Solvang, Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara, Los Gatos and then in Shingle Springs for high school. After KP, I shipped out of the SF MEBA hall, but after a year, shipping really slowed down. I moved to Louisiana and worked for Crowley. I currently live outside of Houston, and have for the past 33 years. I don't get back to California much. Occasional trips for my side hustle of racing photography, but not last year because of all of the shutdowns.

Nice. I was born in So Cal but now live in the Sacramento area. I have made a few trips to Texas and the Gulf Coast and I like it, but I am not sure about the hurricanes. I will have to consider doing a "snowbird" thing after retirement, winter in the gulf area and then back up North somewhere for the summertime.

All Service Academies struggle to get product out in the retail space. However, USCGA and USMMA have a particularly difficult time because of their smaller enrollment and alumni base. For new parents looking to outfit the family in support of your new Mid, it is difficult to say the least. Here is a consolidated list of options I have found that should simplify your search.

Option 1) http://usmmaapparel.com - wide selection - but bad prices, questionable quality, and historically long lead times for delivery
Option 2) https://bit.ly/34TP0wm - a cafe press site created by a grad to fill a real void in options
Option 3) https://bit.ly/2X9trnv - the semi-official page on the USMMA site that points out to other locations
Option 4) https://bit.ly/3hy26V9 - facebook group containing offerings by various parent's clubs

Option 5) Navy Exchange store on campus (NEX) - think tax-free walmart-like store for students. BEST OPTION in my opinion. SCAN this QR with your phone or CLICK HERE to see a flier created by a parent who was frustrated with options 1-4. NOTE: The pictures/prices/info in this document are from May 2020 and are likely different today. Call to confirm details with the contact info listed in the document.

I appreciate the flyer options. Makes me feel the apparel is more authentic getting it from the NEX. Plan to call this week and see what's still available. Thanks to the parent that put it together.

USMMA Parent Associations Merchandise and Fundraisers facebook page. Proceeds go to suppoer the local parent chapters which in turn support the Mids.

Will look on there now.
Prep Sportswear is not a great option unfortunately. NEX is better, and the parents have some good stuff also. If you are on a sports team, you might be able to buy some gear for parents and plebes on a group order through the team. But I don't know if every team does that every year or how that works actually, but it worked out well for us this year anyway.

Thanks. I plan to stay away from prep sportswear.

My mom ordered from NEX today. Some items from the flyer and some not (she wanted a shot glass and wine tumbler). We will have them by the weekend.

New to site. Son is applicant for 2026. Just a suggestion…. I use this site for some HS gear and some vintage gear (NY Titans football gear)

Yep - they are the "official" provider, but lead times are long and quality is suspect. The on-campus store is an official Navy Exchange commonly referred to as the NEX. Military folks will recognize the phrase "base exchange" or "BX". Army and Air Force team up to run the Army Air Force Exchange store or AAFES. Coast Guard has their own Exchange.

In general, you could go to the NEX website to find items carried in their brick and mortar stores.... BUT not USMMA gear. We presume the school is considered too niche and they do not want to warehouse inventory. However, in-store - they have the best stuff, it is tax free, and it ships for about $16 a box -- whatever they can fit in the box.

The frustration of access has me wanting to officially license the logo and create a real store. Unfortunately, I lack the creative gene for product selection. So.......... there is an open invite out there for an artistic parent to team up and form a store that caters to this "niche" audience.
