Who Else Has Senioritis?

I was the opposite kind of parent. Not quite free-range but didn't get weird about grades or anything else. My daughter put pressure on herself and I occasionally had to tamp her down a bit. She was the kind of kid parents here brag about but she was self-motivated and kind of neurotic about it.

Good luck on the scholarship hunt. Every little one helps. Hopefully you have a teacher(s) who will write you an awesome recommendation letter. I write a few a year. One year I had a girl get awarded six different scholarships. Most years they don't tell me if they get anything.
How is your daughter now? My dd is self motivated and a tad neurotic. She pushes herself harder than her dad and I could (or would) ever push her. Lord knows I was not like this at her age!!

Neither was I. I barely graduated high school and couldn't wait to get out of the house, which I did three weeks after graduation. I ended up in navy boot camp and never looked back. The USN changed my life. It saved my life.

My daughter is awesome. Still neurotic. Anal retentive according to Freud. She's the mom of the two best grandsons ever. She's in charge of a team at a global corporation, has an MBA, teaches an online business course, and does it all from home. She's an animal on the Peloton and has a husband, an awesome guy, who moved them 31 miles from me into a gated country club community. I still like him despite the long drive to see the boys.

Senioritis is kicked in full swing for me. I get out of school at 12 everyday and have almost no homework in any of my classes anymore. The only thing keeping me afloat is that I gotta get a 90 or above unweighted in each of my classes to exempt exams in April/May.
