Who else is still CPR?

I keep saying to myself that it would have been much better if admission will communicate a little more with us instead of just CPR on our portals. They should at least tell us when the files will be reviewed or at least after reviewing our files, they should take off CPR and put reviewed to solve the anxiety problem and stop people from fainting every time the open their portal. I also think USNA needs to upgrade their system, they seem to be a little outdated compared to other SAs.
I agree. Just more communication all around would be better, even if it's via the portal update. Perhaps if enough people voiced concerns USNA admissions would listen and make the life's easier for the next class? Particularly since civilian colleges do communicate much more often and make you feel like they really want you.

USNA has told you since the beginning you will have an answer by April 15th. Even if they updated the portal telling you your application has been scored it doesn't mean anything except that. It can sit like that for months. It still goes to the appointment committee to make that decision. We all went through this wait even decades ago. I get it, it's hard to wait. But this is the first of so many waits in a military career. At this moment you think it's the biggest wait. Yes it is right now. Each one after becomes just as big. You will be just as in the dark and usually even more on most of these waits in your career. Take a deep breathe and relax. As you can see in this thread you aren't alone in the wait. Good luck to all.

College Re-applicant, Presidential nomination, still CPR. I'm trying to keep my mind off of the waiting game and focus on school and improving my resume even more. I've decided that its best to use my time wisely instead of worrying by preparing to reapply for a 3rd time just in case.

I honestly think that most slates haven't been finished yet. Think about it: I can only imagine how many they have to go through each Thursday. We have to remember that these are normal people as well. Also I think us College Reapplicants aren't being reviewed as quickly because they were still waiting for our college transcripts to properly evaluate our apps. Any thoughts BGO's? NavyHoops?

Heard from my BGO that the slate reviews will be over by 3/31. No rush

DS has his back up plan in place, but it's not the USNA. Prayers for no TWE and notification soon to the positive.
Positive thoughts to all. I know this is hard for you kids; parents too- waiting for dreams to come true...

When all you want to hear is

My son is completely thrilled with USMA. His parents are eagerly awaiting a decision. My husband, his stepfather, is USNA retired. He comes from a long line of service in the Air Force, Army and Navy. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf Wars. He can't go wrong with any of the branches.

** We know it's his decision. The impossibility of USNA with his color deficiency and lack of shoulder waiver has kept it off the table for months. We love our son and wherever he chooses other than living in our basement we will embrace and support! **

DS is another CPR hopeful. He is college freshman but didn't complete his application last year so not sure whether he is considered a re-applicant. Seems to be a trend with this thread that majority are college/re-applicants. Trying to keep the old college DS's spirits up as many of you have said by telling him that he's still in the hunt without the TWE or portal update! Lots of good company as I read through all of your candidate's qualifications. He's still a candidate with USMA, USNA, USAFA, and USMMA. Whew, that's a lot of possibility still in the running! :thumb:

Glad to know I'm not alone when I anxiously check the portal each day. Been CPR for a few months now also. Does anybody know if it's at all possible to still receive an appointment while waiting for a waiver? Thanks.

You can receive a conditional appointment but you won't be fully qualified until you receive a waiver.
