Who else is still waiting to hear about NASS?

DS submitted his application on February 7, and we're still waiting to hear. He indicated he would available either Session I or III (Session II is his finals week), but has a Nuclear Engineering program he'd like to attend the same dates as Session III if he doesn't get into NASS. At this point, he'd just like to hear one way or the other so he can make plans.

My DD received her notification of acceptance for Summer Seminar in an email on May 9th... so don't give up hope!

I am assuming it's a no go at this late date for Nass acceptance. After reading all the early acceptance posts i am guessing face reality dude.

I mean I am the dude that has to face reality. No news is bad news in my thinking.

You never know! They're just waiting for SAT scores to be submitted to make a final decision for a majority of the applicants. Good luck!

If they're considering newly-received SAT scores, we can begin making alternate plans now. DS took the SAT in January and did poorly in Math. He won't retake until May 2. He would've been better if they only considered the PSAT scores he submitted on the application, he did awesome then.

DS figured he might be waiting for a bit because we live in a pretty populated area (and state), so the whole geographic representation thing comes into play. But, he also feels that the longer we wait, the greater chance someone equally qualified or better would have applied...just a lot of great kids trying to get in. I have to say, though, I preferred the USAFA letting everyone know at the same time...felt more "fair" (which life is not, but still made us feel like DS was given an equal opportunity even though he wasn't selected).
