My DS would like to speak to someone who handles administrative duties (uploading files, etc.) at Cadet Command. I know they prefer email, but this would be much handled by a phone call. Is there a number to call to speak with a person?

I'm looking at the application website, the offer letter, and the letter of instructions that accompanies the offer and I don't see a phone number anywhere. I hadn't noticed that before (I think there has been a phone number in the past), but it looks like Scholarship Processing would prefer you email them.

That looks like the old number...wait till they find out they haven't scrubbed that webpage. Let us know if someone answers that number.

The 7371 # is correct, I used it last week to make sure that my DS upgrade on the site from 3 year AD to 4 year was for real.

Our son had a Scholarship Action Officer that answered his questions and emails. Any time we had to update scores, add info, etc., we dealt with the same guy. He proved invaluable when we were literally at the university for his PMS interview and the ROO was having trouble accessing our son's information. Thankfully, I had Mr. Black's phone number and email and was able to get it all worked out quickly.

How did you connect with him?
Betsy, my DS found out who his "High School Point of Contact" (POC) was by emailing Cadet Command and asking. He did this because he wanted to arrange his interview at his first choice school, not at one of the local schools listed on his portal. The instructions on the portal said if you wanted to do this, contact your POC to let him know.

ps - the POC was someone at Cadet Command, not at the High School, that's just what the portal called it.

FYI...there are 5 or 6 people in the Cadet Command scholarship processing section. They processed over 12000 applications this year. I'm sure they try to be very helpful, but the typical question can be answered by one of 273 ROOs at the schools. And, oh by the way, ROOs just love to hear from their applicants...shows that you might be interested in our schools. I'm sure Mr. Black doesn't mind helping you, but every time he has to answer the phone or an email it delays the uploading of transcripts, or the movement of a DODMERB waiver request or some other scholarship processing function by a little bit.

It was the ROO that specifically asked us to contact Mr. Black.

You were doing the right thing if you asked the ROO first. Glad Mr. Black was able to help you. Not every ROO has the same level of experience, but there are enough of us out here that can help take some of the load off the Mr. Black's of the world.
