Still hoping for SA appointment for son but we are all very happy to see his first BFE in the mail today from Texas A&M!

His Aggie parents' hearts are full.

Whoop!

So excited for y'all. I am a third generation Aggie. My son is only looking at TAMU and the Aggie band. He has been to several Service academy events and hopes to go to Summer Stem at USNA. They only way I am good with him not being an Aggie would be to go to a service academy. I have same quote hanging in my office.

Exactly right. The only place for him is Aggieland if not the great honor and opportunity of a service academy. He didn't apply anywhere else. My son would be third generation. His grandfather (my father-in-law) Class of 1959 was Aggie band and president of the Memorial Student Center and as one of the top 3 student leaders on campus along with Corps commander and student body president had weekly meetings with President Rudder.

Love our Fightin' Texas Aggie Band! But my son will be a Singing Cadet!

My oldest two children didn't have what it takes for A&M for various reasons so what a thrill if my youngest continues the tradition.

Gig 'em!

As a Red Raider, myself, it pains me to say it...but Gig 'Em! DS also applied there...will probably end up there if not at SA.

My DS has been accepted to Mays Business School as on of the backup plans. Exploring the ROTC options there as well.
