I know all our downtrodden cadets will be there, swaddled in wool. How many parents and candidates are going? I'm thinking of having a bit of a get-together at a local watering hole. A bunch of our group will have just gotten off another combat tour and will be looking for a good time.

Parents, don't miss the opportunity to take part in the spectacle and the pageantry. Plus you can see the best school in America take on Navy!

Hotel reservations - check
Plane tickets - check (courtesy of sky miles :thumb:)
Game tickets - working on that
Kennel reservations- that can wait
Cold weather gear- quite an investment for us Southerners
Time with my favorite Yuk, March-on  AND seeing Army woop Navy- priceless

Bus for 55
25 hotel rooms

Friday night party for cadets and families

BUT MOST IMPORTANT:

HEATED CLUB SEATS!!

(And before anyone lectures me about the authenticity of the game--been there done that--warm is better)

Club level is my favorite. Outdoor seating, but warm indoors. Best mix. Plus, there's a full-service bar...

Where are you coming from with 55 people???

Thats our goal for next year....Club Seats!!!! But thisthis year it's 8 seats probably prretty high up and a cold butt!!! But, wouldn't miss it for the world!!! Go Army!!!!!

Looking forward to it very much! Driving up Saturday, and hopefully spending the night. Father-in-law is class of 1949, so we get great seats through him. BUT they are not warm seats! First time that I will be watching one of my children march on, so the tear in my eye might be a little bigger this year.

Scoutpilot,
This will be our second game. My daughter, wife and I. Club seats in the Linc. I remember immediately after the game last year was over, my daughter says Dad. Lets come back. I was tickled. This year weather permitting, I want to attend the march on, so we get to see it. We have a family friend that attends the Naval Academy. I must tell you it was an honor and a privilege to be in the company of so many heroes. Thanks to you and all who have and are servicing to include all Cadets and Midshipmen, at all academies and in ROTC.
God bless and God Speed to you all,

RGK

That's funny. I might know you. Grew up in Northern Ohio.

I will be coming up with my parents for my first Army-Navy game (just got surprised with tickets as an early Christmas present last week, just before my overnight to West Point). I am incredibly excited! Any words of wisdom from those who have gone in years past?

Layers.

Will be there -- this will be the 7th year (and last) in a row I have had a cadet marching. This time we get to hear his name as a BN CMDR :thumb:, and with luck his Dad will be there on an R&R from Afghanistan. Would love the chance to get together with folks -- where are you thinking about?

PS -- My suggestions for warmth include layers, thermacare heat wraps, and a sleeping bag! I'll be in club level.

Apparently, our OEF contingent has rented out a bar Friday night. I think this is a good foundation for some pre-game partying. More info to follow on the venue.
