Why do some states have no appointments yet?

Why do some states have several appointments while others have none.
For example WI has not received any appointments despite their nominations being submitted quite some time ago and there being qualified candidates.

Because people from Wisconsin are shy and don’t want to post here?

The rule of thumb here is only about 10% of a class posts appointments, based on a class 1100-1200. No rhyme or reason as to what states posters are from.

I suspect offers of appointment have been made to some fine WI residents. If not yet, there will be. There are 50 states to get through, many parallel processes, finite number of people working the many tasks to build out a class.

I am fairly new to this but the members here are all voluntary, so there may be appointments that have been made to folks who are not members of this forum. Also, they may be member but do not care to post. From looking through the various forums, there are a lot of long-time members who are very knowledgeable and helpful that may have a better answer. This is just my guess.

Because appointments for people from Wisconsin are like cheese and have to be aged before use or announcement?

Nothing out of Delaware either but they may not be apart of the forum so who knows

I thought it was made very clear early on that Delaware is not allowed in these forums. The first rule of SAF club is don't talk about Delaware. Does no one read the Terms and Conditions page anymore? At least the line is holding against **********.

To augment what's been said above (and in other threads), some states have more appointees than others. That's mostly a function of population (CA vs. SD), but also the number of well-qualified applicants, which is very high in certain states. Many with appointments don't visit this site and others may only lurk, not post. At this point in the process, I would be very surprised if at least one person from each state hasn't received an appointment -- and many from some states.

You can go back to other year appointment cycles and look at the DIY appointment thread and see how things generally go. My state didn’t have many post, but there were I think 10 that year. At the plebe picnic, most (if not all) hadn’t heard of the forums.

Can you BELIEVE that 🤔?!!?

I would be quite lost without some of the info I have read on this forum
