Will anyone be going to LDAC in the future(?) (2010?, 2011?, 2012?, etc...)

Having recently graduated LDAC, and having received my commission as a 2nd LT, throughout LDAC I kept a rather lengthy journal. From leaving my home, until graduation and arrival back home, I documented all the MANY things that I did to prepare for LDAC, as well as, lesson's learned.

I filled roughly 3/4's of my Soldiers' Notebook up with writings that covered everything from packing and preparing for LDAC to actual things you can do to time management and make LDAC as painless as possible.

Would anyone ever be interested in reading these? For awhile, I thought about attempting to publish these in a book called "Lessons Learned from LDAC" or something like that, however, I decided to hand-type all these 'chapters' into electronic format, and upload them to a website......

Let me know if you'd be interested, and I'll begin to post them......I have roughly 10 chapters written out now, with 30-40 more to go....:thumb:

I did this primarily to provide a resource to upcoming ROTC cadets who would be going to LDAC eventually in the future.....

HOOAH!

hm.........come to think of it.....feel free to email me on here....or at my personal email address....

o2ndt@yahoo.com

....if you'd like for me to send you some of these writings.....

....I'm not charging for any of this stuff.....I did it primarily to provide upcoming MSIII's (and MSIs, and IIs), at my college, with an awesome resource as they prepare to go to LDAC between their Junior and Senior years.....

I found a free website development-type service that will host these writings.......and, I've begun hand-typing them into there....

http://www.squidoo.com/ldac

I'm not sure if I'd be able to just cut and paste all the writings to this forum....I don't want to 'force' people to read them, if they don't want to...or they aren't applicable to them....

No matter where a cadet is in their Army ROTC program, one should really consider reading these because LDAC is an inevitable requirement that they will have to attend eventually in their college career...

So...whether MSI, MSII, or MSIII, I encourage you to read this writing....for MSIV's, this would be great to share with the MSIII's, and below, that you'll be leading.......

HOOAH!

I will be LDAC summer 2012 (hopefully), just read the first 10 chapters, awesome job, you have at least one dedicated reader!!

Great! I'm glad you like them so far, rotc2013, but, more importantly, I hope that you can benefit from them in some ways.....2012 is a long ways off, but it's great that you are thinking about LDAC now....it never hurts to start preparing your body and mind, even now, for what you'll experience there, on into the rest of your Army career.........if my writing can be of assistance, I'll definitely keep it up......those 10 chapters were a small snapshot to get you salivating for more......over the next few days/weeks, I'll be adding ALOT more to it.....

No matter what your commissioning source, I have added a quick POLL right at the top, with all the various branches....

Feel free to Vote on it with your Branch, or whatever Branch you would like to one day be assigned to.

There are 50+ Votes so far!.....Looks like Aviation and Infantry are fore-runners, as expected....

Which U.S. Army Officer Branch are You Interested in(?)
*or*
What Branch Were You Assigned to(?)
*or*
What Branch Would You Like to be Assigned to(?)

I've had several cadets request that I let them know when I update this page with more information....

...well...I've updated it....I hope that everyone who reads it finds it beneficial! Best of luck in preparing for LDAC 2010, as well.....it'll be here before you know it....

Will anyone be going to LDAC in the future 2010 2011 2012 etc

Computers now can do almost anything now, in the future computers might be able to do everything. Will humans depend on computers for life in the future?
The on the poll are arguing about the answer.

I'd like to see your notes. I go to LDAC summer 2011.

I just found out I have been medically qualified for Army ROTC and since I am a current college sophomore will have to go to LTS (leadership training school) this summer before entering the advanced classes in the fall as a junior. I spent a little while reading your "journal" and found it very useful. I find myself trying to prepare the best way I can especially so I dont show up to be "that guy" (being that I was in junior rotc in high school--) ...so our personalities sound very similar. I wish you the best of luck in your career and thanks for helping with the start of mine.

LT...nice job...that free website development-type service, it's called a blog...and perhaps for full disclosure it would have been appropriate for you to tell us that all the product links you have on your "blog" are affiliate links that allow you to make a little money off your effort. Nothing wrong with that, just making sure everyone else is aware. I could be wrong, but I bet I'm not.

Thanks for sharing.
