Will Girls State Still Count?

Hi everyone, hope you're all well!
I recently got accepted to Girls State, which I later found out was cancelled (in person). They're doing some kind of virtual meeting instead. Here's the direct quote:

"Under these extraordinary circumstances, the ALA California Girls State Chairperson, Director, and Chief Counselor are preparing a highly modified process that will allow all chosen delegates to participate in an ALA CA Girls State service project, virtual meet and greet and an introduction to the ALA on June 22. As ALA CA Girls State Director, I will be sending emails to all registered delegates to let them know what we have planned. The ALA CA Girls State Chief Counselor will work with the volunteers to design activities for our delegates to earn their ALA CA Girls State Pin, Certificate of Participation, and eligibility for the California Girls State Alumnae Foundation."

Since it's not in person, and probably not a whole week, will USAFA and USMA still count it? I'm not sure how Girls Nation will work, or if we'll even have one this year. I was definitely super excited to go (I love politics), but I think it was for the best it was cancelled. :(

Thanks, Zoe

Girls/Boys Nation require delegates that get selected from within the various state programs and if
the state program is not held, I don't see how those delegates. For some states, the selection is
apparently done by the staff which I guess could still happen but in others (including mine), the
selection is by the delegates themselves and there is a whole campaign, primary, speeches,
debates, etc. I don't see how that can be done virtually with any degree of reality.

Anyway, Boys Nation has already been cancelled so there is no program to choose delegates for.

USAFA told me that you can put it down on your resume that you were selected but no not put it as if you were attending.
