My p/c seems to think they will have a night of liberty this weeknd....anyone know for sure. BTW when is mass on Sunday...I heard parents can visit with p/c for an hour and bring food... i will bring for entire platton if allowed so please let me know if all can share.

unfortunately, you are not allowed to attend mass this sunday. Indoc is officially over after change of command (when control of the candidates go from the drill instructors/OICs to their CTO and prospective company's chain of command). they will not be getting any liberty this weekend, nor will they until parents weekend. once indoc is done with, you are allowed to attend mass on sundays and stay for at least an hour, however, i wouldn't bring food for the whole platoon- your p/c will have a group of kids that he'll want to bring to land hall with him (where the parents usually go after mass)

i talked to a friend that is an OIC at school right now and he said that you ARE allowed to go to mass on sunday, but that you are not allowed to talk to your candidate until AFTER indoc. sorry about the mix-up

indoc is over this friday

If indoc is over this friday can i go to mass and then spend time with him this weekend....sry I sound like a dim wit but I want to make absolute sure before I make the trip

Indoc doesn't officially end until Sunday July 25th... So no one can go to mass this weekend

I thought indoc was over on Friday, thanks for clarifying you saved me a trip.

Wow the confusion and misinformation here on this thread is pretty amazing...

I believe that as in the past you can go to mass this Sunday - as I've said it's actually virtually impossible, for them to close the Campus....

That said while you can go to Mass and they can be in the same building with you during that time you cannot sit with them or fraternize with them at this time. As noted Indoc isn't over until after this weekend.

It may be allowed but it's actually probably easier for both you and them if you don't go to Church Services on Campus this weekend and wait at least until next Sunday.

Finally, as noted the first Liberty a Plebe Class traditionally gets is on Acceptance Day/Parents Weekend and though technically such a decision would for granting Liberty prior to them is in the hands of the Regimental Commander and the Commandant of Midshipmen I'd bet that's what the case will be this year as well...

Technically parents are not allowed on campus during Indoc. Indoc does not officially end until around 1800 Sunday night when the DI's turn over the candidates to the regimental/company officers. However, if you must go to church on campus Sunday you are allowed, but you are not allowed any contact with your candidate nor will you be allowed to sit with them.

As Jasper said, no Candidates/Plebe Candidates are allowed off campus until Parents/Acceptance Weekend unless they are in a varsity sport and leave with the team.
