Some one in this forum mentioned about the future mids should remove their wisdom teeth before I day.

Any particular reason for this recommendation?

You don't want to risk their flaring up during Plebe summer, year or anytime thereafter. Take care of them pre-USNA.

If they're going to cause problems or they're due to come out soon - have them removed well before I-day. But, if there's no medical reason, they do not need to be removed. After Jun 30, let the Navy decide.

Our son opted to have his wisdom teeth removed before reporting to I-day at USAFA this past June. His thoughts were they would need to come out soon and he didn't want them to be an issue during freshman year (missed, training or classes). He did pay for the procedure out of his college savings!
