I am getting my wisdom teeth surgically removed this Friday, do I need to report this to DoDMERB? If so, how? Also, is there anyone else I must report it to?

In regards to my medical status, I am qualified. This surgery shouldn't change that... right?

We went through the same thing last year. I believe the surgeon filled out a form or wrote a letter outlining the procedure and mailed it. Not sure the process DS went through to notify DODMERB as he took care of all that himself.

My memory is that, yes, one must report this sort of surgery to DODMERB, and it is probable they will give you a 'DQ' until they receive reports that you have fully recovered. You can confirm this by contacting them. I think you will find it is a common place event for them.

USAFA actually recommends getting your wisdom teeth pulled 6+ weeks before in-processing day, so I highly doubt you'll get DQ-ed. My DD had it done and we didn't report it to DoDMERB since it was suggested. Not saying you shouldn't report it, just saying that it isn't going to DQ you unless there were issues.
