My field force told me that I would hear back probably in December or January, depending upon the nominations from my members of congress, which none have made a selection on nominations yet. I was just curious about the time frame and when most appointments would go out.

Just yesterday I received a letter from my regional admissions officer saying I was "fully qualified" and they needed a nomination on file before an offer would be made. It didn't say anything about a waitlist.

DS was in exact same situation this time last year. He received his 3Q letter around the same time as the interviews. I recall faxing a copy of the 3Q letter to the congressional offices.

He received a phone call very early in January from our congressman that he was receiving his nomination.

At this point, it became the "waiting game". It is my understanding that an offer of appointment can come any time up until a few days before R-Day.

The majority of appointments will come out in January/February, when MOC nominations are due (January 31). Most of the people who have recieved appointments either have a Presidential nomination or are from Georgia:shake:.

But in all seriousness MOC nominations arent due until January 31st. A lot of states' MOC's will coordinate so they won't double nominate people to the same academy. These processes take time, so right now a lot of candidates (like me) whose only nominating sources are MOC's and the VP are in a holding pattern.

The majority of appointments come out in January, February and March.
