I am a doolie and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the whole Wings of Blue process and any general insight that they have or things I should know before trying out. I know you need to take AM490 in the summer then submit a paper application for an interview. After that they select 70 for the actual tryout, then it’s anyones guess as to what happens.

I know there is a lot of time before the start of next year but I like having a goal in the distance to work for. Thanks!

You are correct as to the process, except you are technically trying out for Wings of Green to become a WOG. From there you work up to WOB. The tryout is an all-day, hellish process that is reminiscent of basic. A few guys quit during the tryout. They accept only a few each year, so it's really hard to get. Good luck!
