I am a big fan of the game & enjoy watching the women play. However, the lane gets clogged when the defense is allowed to stand inside for the duration. I wish to propose that "defensive 3 seconds" be enforced in the women's game as in the NBA. Maybe former NCAA players (Navy Hoops?) can respond?

Personally I wouldn't change the rules (and I type this as I watch the second game of the night). Part of the offense's job is to open up those lanes. The women's game is getting better and faster every year. Offense has to be able to hit an outside shot to free up those lanes. I see its point in the NBA; the players are huge and so fast, plus they want a faster, higher scoring game for profit.

Watch a team like UConn where their bigs can drain a jumper and step outside it keeps the defense from camping in there. Happens in the men's game as well. I think as the game continues to grow and improve every year, this will evolve as more and more bigs can roll out and hit that shot. Women's game still has a greater disparity divide in level of play than the men's so it is sometimes harder to see. But I think the divide is closing and I hope that grows and improves the game.

Thanks for being a supporter of women's hoops! Enjoy discussing it. I actually went to my very first Final Four last year, it was amazing!

Just tired of Brianna Stewart parked under the basket. Sure is hard for offensive rebounding/ boxing out a zone, it seems. My heart was for Dayton, but my head knew UConn. Thinking Maryland vs. UConn in final. Unsure if the Terps can withstand the first 4 mins. of the 2nd Half (after Gino's adjustments) against them though. Wish to go to a FF one day. 2 years age, went to 1st two rounds when held at St. Johns, in NYC. Dayton played well there as well.
