I'm a senior in high school and I took the AFROTC fitness test a few days ago. My scores were as follows:
    42 - 1 min pushups
    31 - 1 min sit-ups
    13:39 - 1.5 mile time

Is this good? I'm done with trying the 1.5 mile but I'd love some pointers on how to get my 8:25 mile time to 7:30 within a month or so.

    Thanks.

If 8:25 is your mile time, then yes, you’d be well served to get it under 8:00. A month is not a lot of time to get to 7:30, but worth the effort. You’ll need to do speed work, so Google “fartlek,” “interval training,” “hill work.” You’ll find a lot of training programs that will push you at a pace much faster than 7:30, which is what’s necessary to achieve that mark. Best wishes.
