Navy is playing No. 1 Maryland at noon today in the NCAA tournament. Maryland is Navy Coach Timchal's old school.
 
There is an article in the Washington Post today about the Navy Women's Lacrosse team that features a player named Dominique Wright who didn't start playing lacrosse until her sophomore year at Navy. We had an earlier thread about trying to walk-on to a Division 1 sport - tough but possible. She was an outstanding track star though so had the most important element of Lacrosse down - running!
