Hi,

I received a 4-year army rotc scholarship today. Super excited, and looking forward to joining the Army. I was wondering, what should I do now? Should I email the schools rotc programs to which I received acceptance? Anything vital I should be doing in the coming days and weeks? Also, hypothetically, what would happen if I didn't get into the schools I was granted potential scholarships to? I don't think that will happen because at least one of the schools is a "safety," but still a small possibility. Would I be ineligible for ROTC or would I just have to join the ROTC program as a "walk on" from wherever I ended up? Thanks!

Congratulations.......Now take a deep breath. You have plenty of time and there is no rush. Take some time and read ALL of the supplemental information that is contained in your updated portal. All of the answers to your questions are there. Focus on getting in to your schools of choice and still continue with your Plan B, C and D. You are on step 2 of many. All of the information you need is in your portal. There is no need to contact the individual schools at this time.

Congrats, same here! Take good care of yourself...it's a different world out there :')

Pass DODMERB
Get in shape and stay in shape
Have fun
don't do anything stupid
I echo the stay in shape. There are too many threads this year of students showing up and worrying about passing the fitness test. Don't be that guy/girl.

DoDMERB - Take time and read the thousands of posts in the DoDMERB forum. Don't rush through the paper work to just "check another box". There are many scholarship/SA winners that don't make it past DoDMERB...

I believe you will have 30 days to select one of the choices they gave you. If you don't get in I think you can transfer it.
