Hi all- a very dumb question, but I want to get it right. My son is a senior in HS and will be in Army ROTC on a 4- year scholarship starting in the fall. I am working on his grad announcement and am stuck on how to word that correctly?

Do you say they will be a member of Army ROTC? Participating in ROTC? Joining Army ROTC? Contracting with Army ROTC? (or something completely different?)

I am new to this and want to be sure I am saying what it is correctly and with respect! :) Thanks for any insight and advice!

For my grad card, I said that I was attending CU Boulder as a midshipman in their Naval ROTC unit. You could say that your son is attending x university as a cadet in their Army ROTC unit

Here’s what we did last year
John Doe will attend the University of … on an ROTC Scholarship. He will be studying … while preparing to be an officer in the United States Army.
That is a great way to word it! Alot of info in 2 nice simple sentences.
