Im currently a Junior in highschool and have been working on getting a 4 year Naval Rotc scholarship.
Right now my application as follows:
SAT: 1460 (780 math and 680 English/Reading)
GPA: 3.89 weighted with several AP classes
Two years lifeguarding
Job at lifetime fitness
6:50 mile, 53 push-ups and 70 sit-ups but I’m still working to improve
Competed in triathlons and one marathon
Played Snare drum in the drumline entire highschool
NHS member
I’m thinking about getting scuba certified and participating in some glock shooting contests. I don’t have very much community service or leadership roles besides my lifeguard and gym job.
I want to see some examples of rotc recipient applications and get some pointers on things to focus on to enhance my chances of receiving a scholarship.
Any other helpful tips on applying to rotc and college would be greatly appreciated!
