Workout Suggestions?

I recently ordered the p90x. I received my appointment in October, so i've been thinking about how to get ready for a while. A family friend of mine said "all I could think of doing p90x was that this was worse than plebe summer".. I've been doing some research on it and it kicks your butt, but keeps the workouts mixed up to work different muscle groups and keep you having "fun". I'm gonna start it in full swing as soon as it comes. I think you need to be careful with just doing the key exercises of plebe summer, pushups, situps, flutters, etc. Those aren't the only muscles you will use, so mixing up your workouts with different exercises and doing upper AND lower body will help you a lot.

Wrestling!

I wanted something to do over the winter, (lots of snow where I'm from) so I joined our high school wrestling team. I did JROTC raiders this fall. I do better with a team and competition. We are doing two a day practices now, 0630 and 1500 and they are tough. It is teaching me a different kind of endurance.

Im on my high school's swim team so thats keeping me in pretty good physical condition. But, my favorite workout is 20 min of continuously repeating 5 pull ups, 5 situps, 5 pushups.

Here is my routine if anyone is interested. Last semester I took weight training and built a lot of muscle. In between workouts I would do pull ups and sit ups to the point where I would only be able to do a set of about 4 by the end of the class period. Now that the semester is over I am doing only body weight exercises such as pull ups, push ups, sit ups, crunches etc. And lots of running. I run 3 miles at least a couple times a week and once track season starts I will be doing much more. I was told by a current Plebe at an information meeting last week that I should focus on body weight exercises. He said that when he got to the academy on I-day he could squat 450 pounds but that it didn't matter. When I started doing pull ups in July I could do a max of 5. I am now at 14 and hope to reach the Marine Corps' max of 20 by summer. If I reach 20 before then I plan on adding a weight belt to my pull up routine. Well that's it, good luck everyone. :)
