Hi, I'm a recipient of a four year rotc scholarship and want a future in the Army as a career. I've gone through the medical process for the scholarship as well. I am worried I may have depression, I won't go into detail honestly out of fear and paranoia of my scholarship being stripped. I haven't been diagnosed with any mental condition but I've spoken to friends who have been diagnosed with severe depression and told them what I feel and they say they felt the same before they were diagnosed. I am worried that I might have depression and that it'll ruin my plans for a career in the Army. I can't get diagnosed because of the fear that I won't be able to have the career I want but I also fear that without getting diagnosed nothing will get better. You can see that I am in a predicament. I'd like to also say that I am not suicidal and have never nor will think of that. Basically I am asking if I get tested and come back with a positive diagnosis, will I not be able to have the career I've always wanted?

Thank you for any help.

You're health and well-being should always always always come before your career, no matter what it may be.
