So I applied for this and I'm sure I got in. Can anyone explain what this is? Does it help with admissions? Should I put this on apps for USAFA and USNA?

Why would you sign up for something if you don't know what it is?

Is this just a resume filler for you?

Pretty harsh D-land......

The young man just asked a question. Even if its just a 'resume filler', I doubt he'd be the first, or the last, to do so. I've seen lamer questions answered or ignored. If it bothers you let it go to someone else pls. We're all here to learn from experts, and others. Give the kid a break. Thank you.

I just asked a question as well. Since you are not a mod, I will ignore your response. I didn't call his question "lame" as you did.

I apologize for not explaining. I spoke to an upperclassman last year who attended this (he is currently applying to USMA right now) and he told me it was a good experience. He said he got to talk to current cadets and had a great time. I just want to know the value of this in apps.

I don't think attending this conference has much to do with admissions. Attending a candidate visit, in this year might though.

I signed up to attend the conference. It is a good opportunity for you to meet current cadets.

The conference mission is to discuss ethics and diversity in terms of leadership, something every officer should possess. I would only attend if you are genuinely interested in that subject and west point (it's not necessarily something I would have put on my resume)

For what its worth, my son went to the one in Northern VA. Several of the Old Grads who helped facilitate the sessions also sat on his congressmans nomination board. Go, learn, contribute, shake a hand or two....
