Yale ROTC Questionnaire

I recently opened up my Yale application portal and noticed that there was an optional ROTc questionnaire that could be completed. It asks if I've been awarded a scholarship and what branches have I applied for. There's also a 100 word question asking why ROTC appeals to me. I'm pretty stuck on the question. I know my reasons, but I just can't seem to put them in a way that would make it as good as my yale application essays. Does anyone have any experience with this form?

I just finished up the quick 100 word response on the quesitionaire and was wondering if you would mind taking a look? I'm not sure if it is up to par with my application essays. Regardless I appreciate your help.

Is this on the Common App? It must be new because my son didn't encounter it 5 years ago. However, didn't Yale admission close on Jan 2?

DS noticed it there after he submitted his common app and got the email to open the Yale portal. There must have been a question on the common app for Yale about whether he had applied or was interested in applying ROTC. I also think it asked him in the portal if he'd received a scholarship.
